At Pasto ("we", "our", "us"), we value your trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when restaurants and users use our platform, including our Restaurant Partner App, Self Order features, and future services.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information Provided by Restaurants

When a restaurant partners with us, we may collect:

Restaurant name, address, and location
Owner/manager name and contact details
Business documents for verification (where applicable)
Menu details, pricing, and availability
Order data created through Self Order (dine-in / takeaway)
Sales, revenue, and expense data entered by the restaurant

⚠️ During Phase 1 (Self Order), no customer personal data is required or collected for order placement.

B. Information Collected Automatically

When you use our app:

Device information (model, OS, app version)
App usage data (screens viewed, actions taken)
Log data for security and performance monitoring

C. Future Customer Information (When Enabled)

Once customer ordering is live, we may collect:

Name, phone number, delivery address
Order and payment details
Delivery preferences

(This data will only be collected when customer features are activated.)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

Enable restaurants to manage orders digitally
Provide sales reports, analytics, and insights
Support expense tracking and financial summaries
Verify restaurant details
Improve app performance and features
Communicate important updates or support messages

We do not sell restaurant or user data to third parties.

3. Self Order & Internal Orders

Orders entered via Self Order are managed internally by the restaurant.
Customer details are not stored unless explicitly entered by the restaurant.
Pasto only provides the digital infrastructure to record and manage orders.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share data only in the following cases:

With service providers (cloud hosting, analytics) strictly for app functionality
If required by law, regulation, or legal process
To protect rights, safety, or security of our platform

We never share data for advertising or resale purposes.

5. Data Storage & Security

Data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard protections
Access is limited to authorized personnel only
Regular security checks and monitoring are performed

While we follow best practices, no system is 100% secure. We continuously work to protect your data.

6. Permissions Used by the App

The app may request permissions such as:

Location – to show restaurant visibility and delivery range
Camera & Storage – to upload menu images or documents
Notifications – for order alerts and updates

Permissions are used only for their stated purpose and can be managed from device settings.

7. Pricing & Financial Data

Revenue, expenses, and profit data entered by restaurants are used only for reporting and insights.
Pasto does not access restaurant bank accounts without explicit consent.
Future pricing models (subscription or revenue-based) will be transparent.

8. Your Rights

Restaurants and users can:

Access and update their information
Request data correction or deletion
Control app permissions
Delete their account at any time

Requests can be made via support channels.

9. Future Features & Policy Updates

As we introduce:

Customer ordering
Delivery services
Payments & promotions
