Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Pasto, we aim to provide transparency and fairness for restaurants and customers. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled on our platform.

1. Current Phase – Self Order Mode

At present, Pasto operates in Self Order mode, where:

Orders are created and managed internally by the restaurant
Customers place orders physically at the restaurant
No online customer ordering or delivery is enabled

Cancellations

Cancellation of an order is entirely at the restaurant's discretion
Once an order is prepared or served, cancellation may not be possible
Pasto does not control or enforce cancellation decisions in Self Order mode

Refunds

Refunds (if any) are handled directly by the restaurant
Pasto does not process or issue refunds during Self Order mode
The mode of refund (cash, UPI, etc.) is decided by the restaurant

2. Role of Pasto

Pasto acts as a technology platform only
We provide tools to record and manage orders
We do not participate in payment collection, food preparation, or customer service during Self Order

3. Future Online Ordering & Delivery (When Enabled)

Once customer ordering and delivery features are live:

Cancellations

Cancellation eligibility will depend on:

Order status (accepted, preparing, dispatched)
Restaurant's cancellation policy

Cancellation rules will be clearly shown before order confirmation

Refunds

Refunds will be initiated based on:

Order cancellation status
Failed or incomplete orders
Service-related issues (as applicable)

Refunds may take 5–7 business days to reflect, depending on the payment method

4. Non-Refundable Cases (Future Scope)

Refunds may not be applicable in cases such as:

Orders canceled after preparation has started
Incorrect orders placed by the customer
Delays caused by uncontrollable factors (traffic, weather, etc.)

5. Policy Updates

This policy may be updated as new features are introduced.

Any changes will be communicated via the app or website.
